| | | The first step is to respond to the teachers request. Once you and the teacher are in contact, the two of you will decide the best method for delivering your items. |
| | What if I have items I think will be useful that are not currently requested? Top |
| | | Donors can also list their items that are available for future needs. When you enter your item via the Donate an Item link you will first be listed with those teachers that have requested that item. If there are no requests listed you may still enter the item as available. Also, Teachers may have requested to receive automatic notification when certain items become available so often you may get a quick response. |

| | | The success of START Donating is directly related to the number of people that are aware of it. You can help by letting people know about it. Join our Sponsor listings, By placing a link on your web site you can help us gain awareness of our program. Doing so will also list you as a sponsor showing the world the goodwill you and your organization are doing for this needy cause. Also, be sure and use our Tell a Friend option to send an automatic e-mail informing them of our site. The media can also be a big promoter of your cause. Direct them to our Press page for available Press Releases and news events. |

| | How do I get registered! Top |
| | | It is easy. Simply Click the Register Now link under the Teacher Login box. You will enter your schools zip code. A list of schools in that zip code will be displayed. If your school is not displayed you will be able to enter it at that time. After selecting or entering your school you will submit your contact information. Your e-mail address will become your unique login id. In order to verify your e-mail address an automatic notification will be sent to your account informing you of your password. You will then use your e-mail address and password to log into the Teacher Login and begin requesting items. |
| | How do I know when an item is available? Top |
| | | When a donor locates your request for an item they fill out a short information form which includes their contact information and a description of the items they have. The submission of that form will automatically send you an e-mail that they have the item you are requesting. You will then be able to contact the donor via e-mail or any other preferred method of contact the two of you have established. |
| | How can I help get donations? Top |
| | | The success of START Donating is directly related to the number of people that are aware of it. You can help by letting people know about it. Make repeated announcements at PTO, and other groups within your school. Your local merchants may also be a good reference. Click here to get our marketing materials from our Press Page. Also, be sure and use our Tell a Friend option to send an automatic e-mail informing them of our site. The media can also be a big promoter of your cause. Direct them to our Press page for available Press Releases and news events. |
| | What happens when I receive my requested item? Top |
| | | Your item will continue to be listed until you designate it as received or cancelled. You may do this from your administrative area. When you log into the Teacher Login area, all the items you have requested are displayed. Simply click on the item you want to edit and submit the appropriate response. |
